RV Dry Camping

Come enjoy Packwood, Washington at it best. Park your RV in open fields with tall grass and the Elk to keep you company. You can feed the Elk during the day and into the evening hours, just don’t get too close.

At dusk and again in the morning you can hear and see the Canadian Honkers as they fly close overhead to land in the Cowlitz River or into Teal Lake just off the property.

Your camp site will be rustic. You can be secluded away from the Old Homestead home or close by.

If you are here during the events of Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend you will have the Flea Markets of Packwood here on the property covering 3 acres of vendors. We have parking for over 500 vehicles and you can park your car or suv here at the Homestead for one dollar if you mention this web site and be shopping in seconds. For the seniors, attend the senior center just feet away from the entry to the property.

You will be just a short walking distance to the eating and drinking establishments in Packwood.

The senior center, Community center and Fire department are all with in 500 feet. You can walk to the famous Packwood Fire Department all you can eat pancake breakfast.

If you like to watch small planes, you can camp within feet of the air strip at the Packwood Airport. It can be great fun to watch the pilots as they land and take off from the strip. We have campers who come each year to sit, enjoy the day and watch the planes, especially during the two large events.

When the Homestead has the fire pit going, you are welcome to come to the old place and enjoy sitting by the fire, cook a marshmallow and visit. If no fire is going, come and ask, one can be fired off. Due to fire hazards and fire restrictions in late summer, no fires are allowed in the open fields.

Camping is 15.00 per night
